"I mean I dunno if anyone actually has aliens on their card. Marius might have made a new one, he might have it now, we can ask. You kinda get to build your own, but we have a couple of standards, like, we all have 'briefly evil' as the bingo square though, I think." Kyle had considered taking an alien spaceship selfie, and then dismissed it, because who knew what sort of weird cultural nonsense the aliens might have against selfies. Also his phone was on the Blackbird. "I would've bet money on banging Warren would've been the bingo square," Bobbi replied with a shake of her head. "Aliens though, yeah, gonna need some new cards to add that onto." She took a big breath and puffed it out from her cheeks in a long, drawn out expression as she glanced around the literal alien surroundings of the ship. "Fuck me though if it ain't cool. Is it sad to admit that? I don't care if it is, because yeah." She leaned closer to one of the walls, careful not to touch anything just in case but taking it all in with big eyes. "You wanna check out that side, I'll do this one, to start for a first pass anyway?" "I'm not like, so jaded by X-Men shit to not be in awe of aliens, even if they're only kinda aliens. Also we're not putting Warren on the X-Men bingo sheet." Kyle gave a big, almost dopey grin. "If nothing else, not on mine. I am an engaged man, you know." At this point the entire team knew, because he had been caught out mid-monitor-duty looking at a list of reception venues rather than filling out a report sheet. He clacked his toenails against the metal floor for a moment, almost like tapping his fingers – but toes, and claws. "Look, these aliens seem nice, but we should probably not split up. Learned that the hard way one too many times." "Fair enough," she said. "It'd be too much like cheating to have him on there anyway I suppose," she mused. "Oh, no, I meant I'll look at this side of the hallway or room, not to split up. You're dead right on that one . . . er, probably not the best term to use here, huh?" Bobbi said with a chuckle. "It doesn't look that damaged anyway, if I'm not mistaken, not that I'm an expert but . . . something seems a little suspicious," she concluded, taking a closer look at her immediate surroundings. "You seeing any signs of damage or a struggle that jump out at you?" Kyle's senses were far better than hers so maybe she just wasn't seeing it. "I dunno, usually with smells I go off a baseline, but this is alien, so." Kyle shrugged. "Smells acidic, but just could be weird alien febreze for all I know." He chuckled a little. "Maybe we find a supply closet, and figure that out first, see if they have space mops, or space roombas. Actually, legit I want a space roomba." He picked along the hallway. "Legit I'm surprised it's not more beat up if they were struggling. Like." He waved a hand at the hall. "I mean I'd think it'd be cracks and shit, not like, whatever. Scuff marks? I dunno, what is even that?" He pointed at a long scuff on the floor. "I bet space roombas would be so quiet," Bobbi said, "because in space no one can hear you clean," she finished with a deadpan tone and expression alike. Her face slipped into a frown though as she examined the marks Kyle had indicated on the floor, kneeling down and carefully reaching out to touch the darkened area. "Looks more like burn marks than scuffing . . . huh," she hummed. Looking around for more of the same, she didn't see any immediately. "That's odd. Something is off about this . . . which, well, it's literally all alien so maybe that's part of it, but I think there's more to it than that." She continued to scan the area, stopping when her eyes fell on a door just ahead of them. There was a sign that read 'CRYO' and it only just clicked into her in that moment what was so odd about that. ". . . are you able to read the writing on that door too or is it just me?" Bobbi asked Kyle. "So." Kyle started. "So what I want to know is, is this weird dimensional aliens using our alphabet and that doesn't mean cold as fuck, or is it like." He flexed his finger claws a few times, in and out, all at once. "Like, were you here for the psis having powers shit? Doug had a day where his powers hit most of the mansion. Is this English or some freaky translation field shit?" "I can't say for sure, but you know about Occam's Razor, yeah?" Bobbi countered, still frowning as she looked throughout the rest of the immediate area for any other signs or words in their native tongue. She headed for the door marked CRYO and took a closer look at it. "It's also odd that there seems to be damage along here," she pointed out, waving a finger towards what looked like potential pry marks or places where someone or something was trying to force the door open, along with more scorch marks. "Yeah, no, something's not adding up here." "Fuck," Kyle drawled out, elongating the 'eff' sound as he crouched down. He snuffled a little, face close to the floor and the scorch marks, and then gave a snorting inhale. "Okay, miss forensic person, what's acid and smoke together, because I get both. Like, I know I said alien febreze before, but it's stronger down here. You think someone definitely fucked with this door?" He stood, and shook his joints loose. "Let's go find our tour guides, because I have questions." "What questions?" One of the aliens that had been assigned to make themself generally available to the mutants seemed to have materialized behind them. Their birdlike attributes appeared largely vestigial, but it seemed they could also move with the silence of an owl. "One, mainly," Bobbi said, her eyes turning from Kyle, to the damaged door marked Cryo, then finally to the alien. "What actually happened here?" Today in XProject: December 2nd PHASE 2 2015: Clint makes Amanda dinner and they talk, establishing some trust. 2016: 2017: 2018: Murder They Tweeted: Quentin discovers two things in the morning: he's in bed with Hank, and his telepathy is back. 2019: 2020: 2021: Clint texts Darcy, apologizing for being a jerk. Topaz lets everyone know her phone has mysteriously stopped working. Darcy brings Clint food and they catch up. 2022: 2023: 2024: Liam shares a scientific article concerning the orange fur gene found in cats. Haller and Arthur touch base and compare notes on current events. PHASE 1 2003: 2004: Nathan has a breakthrough with his own precognition with help from Alison and her very, very sneaky Askani tutor. Scott gets reacquainted with Manuel and tells him a little about the recent past. 2005: No Way Out: Tommy finally comes out of his room for food, at the same moment Jay decides it's mid day snack time; unstable after his run-in with Tommy, Jay receives some support from Forge. Skeleton Coast: Nathan, Pete, Cain and Alison arrive at the Eris camp outside in the desert, and the Eris personnel promptly run away; Alison, though she doesn't find Domino, makes some headway of a very unexpected sort; Domino, still in her cell when chaos breaks out, seizes the first opportunity to escape. Thankfully (given the content of Nathan's vision) she doesn't get very far and she's not quite as happy to see Pete as she should be, at least not right away; outside, Cain and Nathan spot Gideon; Cain and Nathan chase Gideon; Gideon finds himself in the position of facing a furious, psimitar-bearing telekinetic out in the open where Nathan doesn't have to worry about collateral damage; the cavalry arrives; Nathan is drugged by his father to prevent him killing Gideon; the laptop Alison liberated turns out to contain potentially invaluable information about the network of training camps for young mutants that Eris helped set up in Africa; later, Alison brings Nathan the letter she found. A number of questions get answers, and yet more are raised. Lost In The Woods: In the boathouse, Remy tries to come to grips with betrayal; Doug, Marie-Ange and Jubilee get a surprise visitor... or maybe not so much of a surprise to at least two of them; when it comes to Amanda's turn for a visit from Tante Mattie, she finds that things aren't always as you expect them to be; on the way out, Marie-Ange catches Remy, and gives him a gift. Amanda posts to say goodbye before she leaves for New Orleans, also leaving a note on Pete's door. 2006: Terry and Scott argue about the implications of Jean's return for Bobby; Scott later discusses it with Jean. Nathan asks Kurt to train Rachel in gymnastics. Logan and Marie discuss his feelings for Jean, and she gets frustrated enough to slap him. Logan's conversation with Shiro about honour and second chances goes much better. Operation: Xorn: Pete calls in Haller and Forge to assist with the Xorn situation and calls Remy back from Europe; Forge meets with Essex to discuss the requirements for Xorn's containment helmet; Betsy encounters Essex and it goes about as well as could be expected; Sofia and Essex are rather more productive; Haller goes to Snow Valley and realises who their receptionist is, before meeting with Essex. 2007: Operation: Melittology: Sarah and Amanda trace a connection to a plane charter company; Doug and Illyana meet with a contact and get further information; Amanda and Sofia establish a previous client of the charter company were the smuggling ring from New York; Sarah and Marie-Ange go through the surveillance photos on the charter company; Remy sends Mark, Wanda and Illyana to Germany to spy on the owner of the charter company. Jean-Phillipe Colbert arrives at the mansion, seeking powers help. 2008: The Magnificent Seven: Cable and Phoenix are discussing options when T'Challa tells them contact has been lost with the border guards; with attacks on the borders and Ilyas Saidullayev attacking the town of Kanda, Phoenix and Cable deploy to deal with him, leaving Roulette heading the remainder of the team; Emma finds Tara Trask via the astral plane and prepares to pounce; Roulette and Sway attempt to stop the city being shelled; Havok (Squirt) has a run-in with Amber Hunt and manages to outwit her; Emplate and Domino try to protect T'Challa from an attack by the Taygetos mutants; Emma tracks down Trask, but is blindsided by Carly Alvarez; Phoenix and Cable battle Saidullayev, having to resort to a gestalt to take him down as they discover he is using Kick; T'Challa almost sacrifices himself to stop the attack on his city, but at the last moment JeanandNathan recreate the Panther and terrify the opposition into fleeing; Emma has to separate the consciousness of Jean and Nathan from each other; Scott reports on x_team about the situation. The inevitable happens and Julio meets Nori's parents; it's awkward. Adrienne emails Emma about the Hellfire Club. 2009: Jan posts about her health and Black Friday shopping. Amanda leaves a printout of an image on Doug's computer while he is away from his desk; Doug posts threatening whoever left the "gift". Catseye emails Kurt and Yvette about driving upstate to check up on her father and Megan about dyeing her catform black for her. 2010: The Gift: Crystal, Nico and Dori discover they are prisoners of Nico's parents, who plan to use Nico in some kind of ritual. 2011: Clarice posts about the incident at the hospital where she was observing, and about having to speak to the Dean of Students about what happened. Bobby surprises Terry with a date, which goes somewhat awkwardly. 2012: Sue texts Tandy to see if she is okay and what happened and that she is sorry for not making it to the medlab. Adrienne posts that she will be in Ohio with Tandy for the funeral and that the students will feel her wrath if anyone is disrespectful, also she makes sure that everyone watches the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to keep up the the tradition. Hope helps Tandy pack for her trip back to Ohio. Hope emails the students, minus Tandy, and says that she is ordering some flowers for the funeral and asking if anyone wants to sign the card. Clint emails Sharon F.and asks if she could give him and Tandy a lift to the see The Hobbit for the midnight viewing when it comes out. 2013: Callie posts on the journals asking for volunteers to help with decorating the mansion. Megan talks about a new art project and gets some advice from Marie-Ange. 2014: Lorna posts asking how many people there will be at the mansion this Christmas.
