Biography
Phase 2
Childhood
Monet St. Croix was born as the first born child of Cartier St. Croix and his wife Barbara, though her father had another child, Marius Laverne, from a previous relationship. Monet was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, while her parents were there on vacation. Monet grew up wanting for nothing and, even with the addition of her twin sisters Claudette and Nicole, she remained her father's clear favorite. With her father's wealth at her command, Monet never learned the value of hard work. Instead, she became elitist and uppity toward "lesser people" as well as a streak of hedonism. As she grew into her teens, this attitude worsened, and Monet burned several bridges with her peers and educators. When Monet turned thirteen, her mutant powers developed for the first time. She gained superhuman strength, durability, the power to fly, and telepathic abilities. Even though the world's attitude toward mutants was less than ideal, Monet simply took the development of her powers as further proof that she was indeed "perfect." As she grew older, she would gain further control over her physical powers, but her telepathy proved far more difficult for her to master. She began to occasionally suffer from "zone outs," periods of time during which she received too much psionic stimulus and was unable to move. This state could last for minutes to hours at a time and, despite scaring her, Monet kept this development a secret from everyone, including her younger sisters. When Monet was fifteen, her wild antics and cold attitude got her kicked out of yet another private school. Fed up with his daughter's irresponsibility, Cartier utilized his connections to find a place for her to go, namely Xavier's School. Cartier's wife, Barbara, would ask her father, the mutant "Gateway" to teleport Monet to the school.
Living at the Mansion
Upon arriving via her grandfather's mutant powers, Monet was greeted by none other than Scott Summers who proceeded to explain the workings of the Mansion, as well as answering many of her own questions. Monet would later meet her roommate Roxanne Washington and the two young women hit it off exceptionally well. Monet would also engage in a game of flirtatious basketball with Miles Morales and, despite losing, promised to beat him next time. She would later meet with Julian Keller who formally welcomed her to Generation X as her mentor. She would also participate in a Generation X training mission alongside Roxy, Bobby Drake, Tandy Bowen and others. The exercise ended with Julian's collapse and Monet was the one to carry him inside.
Monet was called back home for a family emergency in September 2015.

Powers
Monet is a mutant who is, in a word, perfect. She is superhumanly strong for a woman of her size and build and can lift about 1000 lbs at her peak. She is also more durable than a normal human and is capable of withstanding high impacts, extreme temperatures, and energy discharges with mild to moderate discomfort. Bullets and blades are unable to pierce her skin, though she isn't totally impervious and typically suffers minor inujuries in the form of bruises. Monet's invulnerability is not absolute. If she is hit by enough force or exposed to extreme temperatures for long enough, she can be hurt. Furthermore, her invulnerability does not protect her from poisons, toxins, or disease, and she still needs to breathe. Monet is capable of flying at speeds up to around 35 mph at her peak. Finally, Monet possesses limited telepathic powers that allow her to send and receive thoughts within a short range and, with effort, shield her mind from psionic intrusion. With immense concentration, Monet has demonstrated the ability to exert limited mind control, such as forcing someone to fall asleep, though this leaves her exhausted.
Equipment
None, other than her killer wardrobe.
