Survivors Against Fear, or SAF (pronounced "Safe") is a victims services group that serve those affected by mutant violence. Their mission statement is to provide assistance to those suffering from debilitating physical or mental injury. Despite their mission statement, their assistance is not exclusive to humans. The group originated in New York following the events of Day Zero.

SAF is dedicated to placing qualifying individuals in such programs as physical therapy/rehabilitation, substance abuse treatment, and psychological and psychiatric counseling. At times they will assist in matters of housing, job placement, or legal counsel.

SAF is associated with the charity Life After Loss (LAL), a fund set up to serve those victims in financial need. The fund's contributors include such anti-mutant groups as the Friends of Humanity, Church of Humanity, and The Purifiers. Whether this is due to ulterior motives or genuine charity is unknown.

Known Members/Beneficiaries

Caroline Alito, survivor of the 2006 San Diego Earthquake and mutant serial-killer.

Thomas Salem, former advocate assigned to the mutant serial-killer Caroline Alito.
