Moment of Awesome - Billy Kaplan/Asgardian : Shrunk to the size of a bug in a magical accident, Billy and Stephen Strange make a dangerous crossing - the main hall at dinner time.

Stephen bit his lip and stared nervously at the vast expanse of carpet in front of him, what would normally only take him a few steps to cross now stretched out in the distance, a prairie or carpet and dust. He could make out the vague shapes of Clea, Amanda and the others, waving and beckoning them over as he turn to give his partner a nervous, if jaunty, look. "So, last one over is a rotten egg? That's what you're supposed to say at a time like this right?"

"More like a scrambled egg," Billy frowned. The ground began to shake as a pair of loud sneakers thundered past, and he waited for it to quiet back down. "So the big question--do we make a run straight across and risk everyone coming down, or take the safer route around the edges but will probably take so long we have people going both directions?"

The teenager cocked his head to the side watching the oversized sneakers charge past him as he narrowed his eyes and stared at the staircase. "We go straight up the middle," he decided with a confidence he didn't feel as he let a dog eared smirk tug at his lips. "Better to get it all done with than risk something else coming up and going wrong." The last thing they needed was a mansion pet to spot them or someone to drop something down the stairs on top of them.

"Next time we go on a shrunken adventure, remind me to bring my running shoes," Billy quipped as he checked his laces. ""Ok. Let's do this then."

"I'll add them to my emergency adventure survival kit," Stephen quipped, "along with my demon repelling spray, my anti magneto deathball and my chocolate, cause you never know when you need a snack. Never leave home without it." The teen sucked in a deep breath and nodded, "On the count of three. One..."

"It's also good against dementors," Billy grinned, "so definitely belongs in the kit." He glanced toward the stairs, and decided it was as clear as it was going to get. "Two... Three..." he counted off with Steve, before setting off.

Stephen was right on Billy's tail as they charged into the storm of on coming shoes as he threw himself onto the ground scrabbling to his feet as he rushed along towards the rest of their group "Now I know what it would feel like to actually be in Jurassic park."

Billy huffed along, weaving in and out between the sneakers. "Let's just hope we don't run into any saber tooth tigers," he called over his shoulder, not slowing to look back.

"Oh please," Stephen grinned as she danced between the falling feet, I'm not so worried about the rest of the pets, it's miniaturised fairy cats that have the habit of showing up with the worst possible timing."

Billy started to respond, but was cut short by a loud crash, as one of the younger students jumped, rather than walking the last few steps. He stumbled to his knees as the ground lurched violently. He looked up and managed to roll out of the way just before a large sneaker raced past, stomping where he'd been a moment before.
