Greetings, and welcome to the website for Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. It is my hope and earnest intention that whether you are staff, student, or simply a visitor, that you will find all the information you need regarding our institution.
*What is X-Project?X-Project is a LiveJournal-based role-playing game (RPG) based on the first two X-Men movies. Started in 2003, X-Project has included over two dozen players and a score of characters; heroes, villains, and everything in between. The game interaction takes place using posts on a real-time in-game journal system, as well as off-journal narrative logs. There is something for everyone in X-Project, whether a fan of the comics, movies, or just someone with a passing interest in exciting interaction. The game balances the intense world of the X-Men's activities with the interpersonal relationships formed by having a team of mutant activists operating in conjunction with a school for young mutants learning to control their abilities. Most of all, X-Project is a chance for both participants and readers to enjoy innovative and cooperative storytelling in an ever-changing setting.
*How do I apply for a character?A description of the application process can be found on our Application Page. We currently have a list of unplayed characters that we would like to see filled, but if you'd like to apply for a character not listed, feel free. *Who are the characters? Our currently played roster can be found on the Characters Page. You might note that some unplayed characters may still appear making comments and the occasional post. These characters are currently "sockpuppets", contributed to by various players and moderators to keep game continuity. Many of them are open for applications. *What should I know?No one can tell you what X-Project is. You have to experience it for yourself. However, we can help a little. Our History Page contains brief summaries of significant events in the course of the game, as well as other details that may enrich your enjoyment of X-Project. |
