Former soldier, sometimes spy, Peter Lakatos is in line to become the first field leader of Hungary's own mutant special-response team. In the interim, he's finding other ways to keep himself busy.

Biography
Peter Lakatos and his twin sister, Adel, were orphaned at an early age when their parents were killed in a car accident. The twins were placed with a foster family who treated them very poorly. Adel married at a very young age, and Peter joined the military as soon as he was of age to do so.
His military career was rather more successful than her marriage, which ended badly when the twins were in their early twenties. Peter helped Adel get back on her feet, sending her a large portion of his wages for years, which allowed her to eventually open a small flower shop in Budapest. Several years later, while serving as a captain in the Hungarian special forces, he was badly injured when one of his men, Joszef Veres, had a schizophrenic breakdown. He was given an honorable discharge and returned to Budapest to recuperate in his sister's home.
Once he recovered, he was recruited by Nemzetbiztonsági Hivatal (NBH), the Hungarian Office of National Security. He brought several very complicated counter-terrorism operations to a successful conclusion, earning a great deal of respect in his own agency and interest from upper levels of government. Because of his and his military background, not to mention his own mutant abilities, he is regarded as the consensus choice to lead the new Hungarian mutant rapid-response team when it is established in 2010.
In the interim, he has found himself assigned as the new head of the Prime Minister's security detail, replacing Tanya Callery during her undercover assignment.
Powers/Abilities
A short-term precog, Lakatos foresees significant events up to twelve hours ahead, although his ability is limited to events in which he himself is involved. His ability came to the attention of his superiors while he was serving with KFOR in Kosovo, but was deemed so useful that "official" notice was never taken and he was permitted to continue in the army.
