The community center was established in District X in April 2022 with the support of the Xavier Institute and its residents.

Details

The District X Community Center was founded to provide supportive services for mutants, as well as their friends and families. While established with the support of the Institute, it is managed by members of the community. The staff include several visible mutants and a female director.

Multiple mansion residents volunteer at the community center, including Alani Ryan, Alex Summers, Angelo Espinosa, Arthur Centino, Darcy Lewis, Jean-Phillipe Colbert, Matt Murdock, Monica Rambeau, Sooraya Qadir, and Theresa Cassidy.

The community center itself is a multi-story facility that includes a gymnasium, multiple classrooms and staff offices, a daycare center, and shower and bathroom facilities. It is open to both humans and mutants.

Community Support

The community center's foremost concern is supporting the general health and wellbeing of the community in District X. Alani Ryan and Sooraya Qadir are especially involved in these programs.

  • Employment law

Education

The community center offers a wide range of educational support for adults and youth alike. Kyle Gibney is often found volunteering in this area.

  • GED and college readiness/application courses
  • Dedicated tutors
  • Distance learning programs
  • Night classes
  • Job training and interview preparedness
  • Basic life skill classes such as sewing, cooking, budgeting, etc

Recreation

The facility includes a gymnasium and several multi-purpose rooms used for various classes. Alex Summers often participates in sports-related activities.
