Moment of Awesome - Warren Worthington/Angel: Missing his "best friend", Warren comes down to the medlab to visit David Haller, who is probably better off in the coma.
He draped his suit jacket on the back of the chair and looked at his friend. “Are you there God? It’s me, Warren. Ha ha, just kidding, you’re not God.” Warren’s grin fell. “Man, it’s not as funny when you aren’t looking at me blankly…although I guess you are? Since you’re in a coma.” He paused. “There’s no disdain in your eyes. I miss that, buddy. I do.” He leaned back in his chair. “I miss our mornings, where you eat so you can let me talk like I love to do. That shows me you get me … you really do. No one else gets that’s why I bring them food. I want to talk. I have feelings and things to share, you know.” He paused. “Okay one feeling I guess. And honestly, I don’t feel it all the time. That’s a lot of work, and I’m tired, thanks.” Warren looked up on the bed, and decided he had room to put his feet up on the bed. “I have to be nice and loving to Bobbi all the time, and that takes up a lot for me, so yeah. But you, you’re solid. And you’re not around. Is this …. Loneliness?” Warren wondered for a moment. “And I don’t know how to fuck this feeling away… wait, yes I do.” He grabbed his phone and scrolled. “Do I want a boy or a girl? Boy? Maybe? Bobbi likes those better I think….” He looked through a few pictures. “Yes? No? Nod if you think this is a bottom……oh ok nothing? Yeah, he probably has like one ab.” He sighed. “You’re right. Tinder is stupid….probably should be Bobbi. She’s always up for something. So smart.” He texted and smiled. “Good choice. Thanks, buddy. Now how about I read you the paper?” Warren pulled out the New York Times and shook it out. “Alright. Let’s start with the Arts. I know you’re dying to hear about the new Alanis musical….” |
