Biography

Childhood

Mark and Jill doted on their only child. She led an idyllic life, full of her mother's stories of the "old country" and her father's gruff affection. Jill runs the cash register for the local year-round farmer's market. Mark works as an import mechanic.

Jill and Mark are both second generation Irish immigrants. While Mark has a very neutral opinion of familial history, Jill revels in it. She raised Cessily on tales of Fionn and the Fianna, Cuchulainn, and Amairgen. Cessily loves and knows every story by heart. She has a smattering of highly Americanized Gaelic vocabulary.

Her father was far more practical, teaching her basic mechanical skills (oil change, tire change, spark plug change, etc) and how to negotiate auto repair without getting taken. Theirs was a grumpy, non-talkative sort of relationship. They would often just sit next to eachother while watching television or the weather, just enjoying each other's company.

In school, she participated heavily in the theater department. She stuck to mostly minor roles and back-stage performance. Her true goal was to write plays herself. She has a minor singing talent, frequently playing secondary vocal roles in musicals.

When her mutation manifested, her parents were very alarmed. They kept her in the house, hoping it would pass and she'd be their daughter again. They viewed the silvery person as a replacement, artificial. Six months passed before they called Xavier's.

Powers

Cessily's body is composed of non-toxic mercury. When she's emotionally distressed, she's a puddle of mercury. This shows that she is capable of control over her shape, but she has not yet learned how, or even that she can. Tests will show that her body is completely inorganic. Though her hair resembles normal human hair, it doesn't contain any sort of carbon compound either.

Cessily likes to tell stories, usually centered around the ones her mother told her as a child.
