Again he needed help from the X-Men, as [[Daniel Lyman]] had double crossed him and activated the [[Shiva]] protocols, a failsafe used by Weapon X in the event of an agent gone rogue. With the help of [[Betsy Braddock]] and [[X-Force]], North was able to "deactivate" the conditioned agents sent after him and found himself being offered a job with X-Force. In [[September 2009]] he went deep undercover in Europe, for an unspecified amount of time, seeking information on mutant weaponisation programs.
