With Bulat’s lead turning out to be limited, the X-Men are forced to set a trap in order to determine who’s been potentially dozens of young mutants being kidnapped or sold into slavery. With the help of the other teams, they keep Bulat’s line open, and pass along a message about ‘packages’ ready in New York City. With the youngest X-Men baiting the trap, they slam it shut, only to find themselves facing a cadre of highly trained mercenaries with superior anti-mutant training. As the battle begins to turn the X-Men’s way, SHIELD agents intervene outside with other X-Men, arresting a nearby man and woman who are acting suspicious.

The mercenaries are beaten and those who stay are arrested. They quickly identify one of the men arrested by SHIELD as the man that hired them, and provided advanced training prior to the mission. Their orders were to take possession of any mutants and kill Bulat and his men. They had not been expecting the X-Men. The man and woman will not talk, but a search of their possessions reveals two things; first, both have heavily encrypted cell phones, and the phone ID lists them as ‘HAWKSHAW’ and ‘PUNCHOUT’ respectively. Also, while they have no other identification, there are a number of clues that suggest both of them are from Africa – likely Genosha. Kane is involved in the interrogation, but they are forced to allow them access to their lawyer. As they wait outside for a moment, there’s a flash, and ducking back inside reveals that the room is empty. The ‘lawyer’ was Pipeline in disguise, there to extradite their people.

Plot Summary
