He disappeared after Omega Red was defeated, casting off his true identity as Christophe Nord and becoming David North, maverick agent, before resurfacing again in early 2009. Again he needed help from the X-Men, as [[Daniel Lyman]] had double crossed him and activated the [[Shiva]] protocols, a failsafe used by Weapon X in the event of an agent gone rogue. With the help of [[Betsy Braddock]] and [[X-Force]], North was able to "deactivate" the conditioned agents sent after him and found himself being offered a job with X-Force. Jacob Gavin Jr., is also known as 'Courier' as a result of his long-standing employment with his family's company, Infonet. Jake is a molecular-level shapeshifter, able to control every cell in his body and effect changes as minor as altering his eye colour, or as major as changing his entire gender. Stuck in a woman's form after X2, Jake came to Xavier's for help, somehow ending up as co-student counsellor with Pete Wisdom.
