Details

Originally a New York criminal gang New York, the Secret Empire was a mix of mutants and humans, mostly involved in drug trafficking and illegal gambling. They were busted by the FBI in 2011 and the gang name used as a cover for the X-Men to infiltrate an underground roller derby ring that was acting as a cover for Kick trafficking. The gang name was maintained by the FBI and became a semi-regular cover for the X-Men in several missions.
