| Artie Maddicks: Artie has been at the school for as long, if not longer, than the older students such as Kitty Pryde and Theresa Cassidy. Little is known about his background: when Sarah Morlocke arrived, she identified him as one of the tunnel-dwelling Morlocks who had somehow survived the massacre. Artie himself has been unable to communicate much of what happened - he appears to have no great memory of his life before Xavier's, and his inability to speak also makes things difficult.
