Biography
Nineteen years old now, Ayame was only ten years old when she manifested and stopped her family's car in the middle of the highway in Pennsylvania. Her father, a local politician, didn’t want anything to do with her and surrendered his parental rights. She was taken in and adopted by the Inoue family, who punished her strictly if she lost control of her powers and made her wear latex gloves at first and a complete skinsuit when she became older. Ayame grew up believing that mutants like her needed to be strictly controlled. When her new family became involved with the Sapiens Foundation, Ayame was volunteered by her adoptive parents to share her story of how dangerous unexpected mutant powers could be and how anti-mutant measures were needed. She was homeschooled and is completely dependent on her family for means.
She is known for the words: “I realize that I ask much of my fellow mutants, but we must establish limits on those perceived to be limitless. Society can only function with boundaries and rules, and we must continue to work to find a way to be a part of it; to not press so hard against those markers as to disturb the peace.”
Powers/Abilities
Ayame’s ability is electrokinesis. She can generate limited electricity as well as control electricity outside her body. She only has the most rudimentary control because of the way she was raised. Instead she either uses latex gloves or a complete latex skin suit.
