Powers

Quentin is a hybrid telekinetic/telepath. Unlike many of these dual psis, though, his power is not evenly split between the two abilities. His TK is only a reflection of his own physical strength; he can’t lift any more or any longer than he’d be able to life with his own two hands. Presumably, a combination of strength training with TK training could enhance this ability but only to mundane limits. This ability could theoretically be refined into tactile TK, thus essentially doubling his physical strength.

Quentin’s real power lies in his omega-level telepathy. However, he is completely untrained in the use of this power. He has little-to-no shields so even an amateur could infiltrate his mind. Thankfully for him, he’s not very receptive so his lack of shields doesn’t open every other mind in the area to him like it would for other telepaths. (Meaning, he does have to concentrate in order to read minds, even if they’re open like a book. That’s likely to change as he does learn to be more receptive, but if he’s lucky then he’ll concurrently learn to make his own shields.)

His use of telepathy is very brute-force. He’s a battering ram, not lock picks. This has the unfortunate side effect of rendering his target unconscious (at best) or a vegetable (at worst).
