Plot Summary

After an unintentionally harsh conversation with Doug Ramsey and Marie-Ange Colbert about his lack of luck in relationships, Forge discovered M-Date, a "social networking" website for mutants. At first embarassed about the thought of doing the equivalent of placing a personal ad for companionship, Forge decided to give it a shot.

A few days later, he became aware of an M-Date sponsored meeting in Queens, and convinced Marius to come along as his "wingman". Upon meeting Kurt on his return from Europe, Forge talked the older mutant into coming along to attempt to get his mind off his recent family troubles.

However, upon reaching the meeting, Kurt had second thoughts and decided to leave the two younger men to enter alone. Forge and Marius managed to have several fruitless conversations with some of the young women present until it became evident to Marius' mutant-sensing power that the two of them were the only mutants in the building. When he revealed this to Forge, they came to the correct conclusion that it was a trap.

A face from the past came forward to confirm Forge's suspicions: Duncan, one of Tommy Jones' old pals from his days as a member of the Friends of Humanity. The M-Date website had been Duncan's idea, a hoax to draw in unsuspecting mutants to an ambush set up by the FoH. Thinking quickly, Forge sent a text message to Kurt, with a camera-phone photo of the inside of the club so that the Bavarian mutant could teleport inside.

Kurt arrived and started a chaotic melee, during which the three mutants met up and, using an overturned table for cover, made it out the back door. However, Duncan and his cronies had doubled around and gotten their first. It seemed to be a perfect ambush until Forge bluffed the FoH into believing that he had captured the entire event on video and was streaming it directly to Garrison Kane in the regional FBI office. Confronted with this bluff, the Friends of Humanity bolted, leaving the three mutants to return home in peace.

Days later, Forge would turn the photos over to the FBI's Internet Crimes Division, and arrange to have the M-Date website shut down and its owners charged with various crimes ranging from assault to internet fraud.
