What does flight include?
Flight as an ability includes all mutants who can fly or otherwise move through the air using various methods. These mutants are also generally able to hover, levitate, slide, and glide as well.
Some mutants can fly at high speeds without any outside influence or inertia with the ability to propel/move freely while flying without support. Other mutants might be limited by the need for air/atmosphere, no ability to propel themselves with assistance, or be limited in either speed or acceleration. Flyers might suffer from changes in temperature or altitude if their mutation does not offer additional adaptations or resistance, limiting their respective flight ceiling versus others with similar powers.
What types of flyers are there?
Flyers can utilize many different methods to take to the air typically depending upon their power suite. Atavistic mutants might use wings or other similar structures, while energy manipulators might channel one or more forces into effects that manipulate gravity, air, sound, or other energies to either propel themselves upward or to become lighter than air. Telekinetics can often utilize psionic energy to lift themselves (as well as other objects). Metamorphs or others might be able to either become or mimic a bird.
