Roster

Rev. William Metzger
Placeholder.gif
Coming from a church family where his father was pastor of a non-denominational church and his mother served as a RE director. Already firmly anti-mutant in his youth, in his twenties he ran the ‘Anti-Mutant Militia’, a band of local tugs who liked to harass local mutants and published the underground newsletter "The Militia Press". During a confrontation that nearly cost his life he had a religious experience and felt he was called to fulfill God’s Will. He went to seminary, took over from his father and built out this church to become a mega-church, preaching anti-mutant ideology all the way.

Details

Located in the city of Lancaster Divine Will: Church of Humanity is a glitzy non-denominational mega church who preaches that man is created in God's image, but mutants are not. It used to be a normal-sized church until Rev. William Metzger took over. Its real growth came after M-Day, when a lot of people found recognition in their preaching that M-Day was God’s retribution against mutants and that the people who died with them died as martyrs. Another of their major points is freedom of belief, in their case meaning that for example medical practitioners should have the freedom not to treat mutants or that businesses can refuse to serve mutants.
