Biography
Tangerine was born to a liberal family in Vermont as the oldest of four children. Her family is well-off, her upbringing sheltered; she experienced little discrimination when her powers manifested. At 19 she moved to New York City to study fashion and experience the emerging mutant scene, especially activism. Thanks to her privileged lifestyle, she is idealistic and somewhat naive. Her attitude towards picking up stray thoughts may be slightly too cavalier for some. Likewise, her enthusiasm for the "mutant community" can be off-putting for those who do not share her views on the inherent brotherhood created by genetic status. She currently lives in District X.
Upon moving to NYC, Tangerine became acquainted with a designer named Veronica Eisen. Eisen was in the process of opening her own store, called eVolution, centering around alterations and fashions for mutants called studio eVolution. However, after securing a lease Eisen's business partner abandoned the project, leaving Tangerine's future internship in jeopardy. Fellow HeliX member Yvette Petrovic learned of her dilemma and put Tangerine and Veronica in contact with the experienced Adrienne Frost.
