Plot Summary
A year and a half ago, Madin left the Brotherhood. Six months ago, they wound up at the mansion with a paper-thin cover story and secrets.
Garrison Garrison had concerns about the cover story. Madin is not particularly good at subterfuge so he began to look into the young mutant's story. A friend of Madin's from the Underground got in touch with Madin to mention that someone's been asking questions about Madin's time with them.
Once this got back to Madin, Madin decided that it’s time to run. Well, time to have a little menty-b and then run. Short on allies, Madin reached out to Alani for a partial confession. Alani, unsure how to react, is reasonably gentle with the traumatized young person. However, the delay costs Madin their chance, as Snow Valley has just finished running the last leads Garrison gave them, directly implicating Madin as ex-Brotherhood at a minimum.
Madin is detained overnight in the Danger Room while a group of senior X-Men and X-Force try to work out what to do with them and what level of threat they might now posses. Quentin takes the time to visit Madin in their cell. Eventually, fed up, Kevin takes matters into his own hands, pretending to be Magneto.
Madin, terrified, attempts to fight after 'Magneto' claims that the mansion has been breached and the inhabitants killed, showing no current allegiance to the Brotherhood. Satisfied, Kevin reports back and Madin debriefs to Garrison.
The next day, released, they came clean on the journals. A few days later, Madin leaves the mansion anyway, unable to stay despite their ongoing welcome. Quentin eventually points Madin toward a commune he's become aware of in Portland and Madin heads there, unsure what else to do, becoming enmeshed in the events of A Haven to Call Home'.
