Following the events of Proteus (plot), Rory Campbell vanished from Muir Island, leaving the position of facility administrator vacant. To ensure the smooth running of the facility, Moira MacTaggart hired Dr. Connors to oversee the ongoing research. Dr. Connors brought his family to Muir, and has since settled in and become a fixture at the facility. He was killed when Magneto and the Brotherhood invaded Muir in January 2015.
