The Friends of Humanity are one of the major anti-mutant groups in the United States, both on a political level (rallies, leaflet campaigns etc) and in terms of more violent activities.
Roster
- at least one member of the Smith Family, probably Harold and/or Rebecca Smith (no more is known about this, but a placard was displayed in the window of their home)
- Tommy Jones (formerly, before his manifestation as a mutant)
- Karen Foley (permanently institutionalised by Malice)
- Joshua Richard Foley (permanently institutionalised by Malice)
- Duncan (son of the local police chief)
- numerous other unnamed members
Details
It's not known for sure how the group came to be formed. Malice claimed that Magneto was their financial backer, as a way to keep an eye on them, but this may have been a lie.
In the game's history, they have been involved in a bombing at Disneyworld and the kidnapping and murder of a pro-mutant senator's son. On the smaller scale, the Salem Center chapter have committed acts of violence against Xavier's students including Doug Ramsey, Marie D'Ancato, Angelo Espinosa, Jay Guthrie, and Tommy Jones, who was one of their own until his manifestation and was Jay's attacker, as well as burning down the CoffeeQuake, where HeliX were known to meet. They have also orchestrated rallies in the area. It's known that many key members of the Salem Center police department belong to the Friends of Humanity.
They are currently very much active in the game world.
