September 2006
Following Crystal, Medusa Amaquelin arrives to attend college at Columbia. Over in Europe, things take a turn for the interesting when Marius brings home Penance, the girl he bought, and once things calm down uses her powers to force his body to adapt. They (Marius, Jennie and Manuel) make plans to leave France when they realize that Marius' parents are cutting him off. Back in the Mansion, Nathan and Angelo have a sit down in the gym over various Elpis business, including the stirrings in the Czech Republic. And Angelo makes noises about joining the team.
On a trip into the city, Amanda takes Amara to where Selene is 'buried' and they get closure in their own, unique way. Crystal finds out from Scott that Jennie is actually missing and doesn't take the news well. Nathan lets Ororo know about Angelo's thoughts about joining the X-Men. With help from Nate, Sooraya makes the move from the boat house to the mansion. When Nate finds Jim to get details about San Diego, Cyndi decides to come out instead. The truth comes out about why Jim was avoiding Nate, feeling guilty about being mad, and once Jim comes back out they talk through it. At Silver, Remy comes by to offer Mark a job but it's already a done deal. Amanda asks for, and gets, Angelo to tutor her in Russian.
Early morning, Angel and Sooraya meet and despite the hitch in language differences, get along. Crystal attempts to deal with the awkwardness between herself and Lorna by taking not one but two of her offered classes. Remy and Sofia do the dance of not liking one another but end up striking a deal. If Sofia does some field time, everyone on the team will see her. Angelo and Ororo discuss the details of him joining the team and make it official.
At home, Xavier gets a message from Marius' family. It seems that they haven't been able to communicate with him in over a week. During a night out at a club, Marius discovers the downside to powering Penny's power when he accidentally reacts and hardens his skin to cut his date. Later that evening when Jennie is out to get some gum, she discovers that it's September and that she's been away from home a very long time. Something is wrong but she's not sure what's going on, especially when she can't make herself call the mansion.
Thanks to Amanda's advice, Doug goes to check in on Marie-Ange and they wind up repairing some fences. Using Haller's telepathy, he and Sooraya use a 'net' in order to speak to one another with ease, clearing up the language barrier. Later, Sooraya brings the idea to use it at Crystal's birthday party to Crystal; thanks to the language difficulty, ironically, they run into some issues with using it.
During an outing with Sooraya, Nathan's powers reemerge and takes the shape of a firebird. When Bobby and Terry go to Scott about a shared suite, he sees Bobby's wedding ring. To say that it doesn't go well is an understatement. Remy gets tapped by Haller in the search for Marius. In an attempt to help Crystal while Jennie is still missing, Medusa brings her a new friend: a puppy called Lockjaw.
Amanda starts to dig into the student disappearances by talking with the students and staff, especially Crystal and Kurt. Helping Terry with some paperwork, Marie finds out that Terry and Bobby are married when it slips out; neither of them react well. Ororo also finds out through Scott through email. When Wanda ends up at the club Marius and Jennie were at--one she used to work out--she gets information about them out of the owner and about a slave trading ring in Europe.
When Laurie goes to Forge to help fix the portable air filter, he lets her know it isn't broken. Instead, it looks like her control over her powers are growing. Amara goes to Forge to see if he can help her test the limits of her powers, hitting a range of over 700 degrees.
During a night out at Silver, with Mark, Medusa's evening out is captured in photos. In France, Wanda and Remy meet back up to go over what they've found. In the end, they decide they need to head out, following an ever weaker trail. Over in Monte Carlo, the wayward Xavier students end up playing the house for all they're worth, raking in the big bucks to cover Marius' sudden lack of cash flow.
During dinner with Angelo, Nathan's weekend plans are tossed when he gets a call telling him David hasn't checked in yet and is missing in Tajikistan. Wanda's on her on in Europe because Interpol tends to be a little less than happy with Remy. When Crystal gets fed up with the lack of information about Jennie, she and Forge get into an argument over it. Unfortunately, her emotions decide to play with an unused portion of her power and she sets things on fire without knowing it.
Looking through some security tapes, Doug and Angie make a breakthrough: they know Jennie and Marius are in Monte Carlo and are with Manuel. Kurt asks Ororo that he go along with the team, he feels guilty about Marius.
Over in Monte Carlo, Kurt and Ororo find Penny in the hotel room. This is not looking good for the missing students. Ororo finds Marius at a bar and tries to talk him into coming with her. Unfortunately, Marius panics after finding out that they found Penny and teleports. He winds up where Manuel and Jennie are and tells them to run while he goes to get Penny. Storm attempts to follow Marius, but the patrons start a bit of a bar fight and she finds herself up against a mutant made of mist. Luckily for her, wind is an option. While Nightcrawler looks for the students, he runs into some trouble in the club as well before he can get out; Rogue goes toe to toe with a strong man before teaching him a bit of a lesson in manners.
On the run, Jennie's use of all good luck comes back to haunt her in the form of a powers backlash, creating havoc behind Jennie and Manuel. Rahne keeps after while Wanda attempts to redirect the flow of power to lessen the damage. When Jennie stops, a truck veers into her path and Manuel pushes her out of the way, taking the full impact of the accident. While the two are being seen to, Marius arrives to the scene late. Finding his friends the way they are, he slides into very unstable and starts to attack. It takes Nightcrawler having to use extensive violence to finally bring things to an end.
Marie discovers that Kurt is not handling the situation well and that his faith has suffered for it. At the hospital, Wanda and Rahne check in on the injured. While Jennie is well enough to leave, even if she is out cold, Manuel is horribly injured and will need to remain at the hospital for quite some time. At the police station, Ororo and Marie discuss with the police what to do with Penny. In the end, they decide the best place for her until they find her family is to take her to the Mansion.
A day later, Amanda finds out what happened from Angelo and Marie-Ange, about Jennie and Marius and, importantly, Manuel. Marius finds out from Xavier that after he fed from Manuel, he created an empathic loop between Manuel, Jennie and himself--it's the reason everyone was acting so very oddly. Xavier ends the loop. Down the hall, Jennie wakes up and Wanda has to tell her exactly what's been going on. She feels the loop coming to an end.
Jennie and Marius talk for the first time since the accident and realize that things very well may never be the same with them.
While Wanda teaches Amanda the tricks of dodging, Amanda discovers a nice little shielding spell that will come in handy down the road. When Kyle gets on Forge's nerves, he snaps from weeks of stress and takes it out on Kyle. Healing factors come in handy. While out and about in the city, Terry suddenly finds herself performing jazz and it might not be a one time gig.
When Storm finds out that Alcatraz has been taken over by a mutant terrorist, she calls in Nathan. A TK with a nuclear weapon is right up Cable's ally and they plan. After finding out an entire squad was wiped out going in by super soldiers, Cable decides to call in Remy. With a hand from Kurt, Remy gets into Alcatraz and promptly cleans a bit of house so the team
can follow through. Once inside, two teams are formed, one for the cell block and the other for the nuke. Before everything ends the way it should, they run into some difficulties. And for Remy, it might be the start of a cleaner slate. For Marie, it means a bit of time sharing her head with Logan again.
Kurt leaves, sending out several messages to people. He needs some time to clear his head but he promises to be back as soon as possible.
Penance finally wakes up in the MedLab but she's alone and confused. When she leaves, she startles Tommy who scares her and she flees through the air ducts. Out in the forest, she encounters Logan who uses the wrong language in an attempt to bring her back in. She injures him and flees once more. Paige attempts a calmer approach, letting Penance know that it's safe to come back inside with her. Haller talks to her and finds out information on who she is and where she's from. He and Xavier talk and decide to try and find her mother and let Yvette decide what she wants to do after that. And Haller realizes that he can do his job again.
Timeline
Sep. 1 - Medusa arrives in the States. Bleeding: Marius arrives back at the hotel room with Penny in tow and Marius uses Penny's mutation. Later, Marius reappears looking physically better than he had before but with news that his parents have cut him off. Elpis: The Gates: Nate and Angelo discuss goings on in the Czech Republic, plan to go to Tel Aviv and discuss Angelo starting team stuff.
Sep. 2 - Amanda and Amara get closure from Selene. Bleeding: Scott fills Crystal in on what's going on with finding Jennie. Nathan sends Ororo an email giving her a heads up about Angelo wanting to join the team.
Sep. 3 - Sooraya starts to move from the boat house to the mansion. Nate seeks out Haller to talk about San Francisco but gets Cyndi instead but finally finds out what happened from both of them. Remy comes by with an official job offer for Mark. Amanda asks Angelo to tutor her in Russian.
Sep. 4 - Angel and Sooraya finally meet as roommates.
Sep. 5 - Crystal attempts to clear the air between her and Lorna.
Sep. 6 Remy tells Sofia that if she puts in field time, he'll make sure everyone is on her couch. Angelo talks to Storm about joining the team. Bleeding: On the home front, Xavier gets a message from Marius' parents about how he's been missing; Marius has a bad run in with a 'date' when in surprise his skin hardens enough to cut her; later, Jennie comes to realize how long she's been away and that something is very, very wrong with her situation.
Sep. 7 - Doug and Marie-Ange take a few steps towards repairing bridges.
Sep. 8 Sooraya and Haller test out a way to make communication easier for her. Later, Sooraya stops by Crystal's room to see if they could use it for the party but there are issues and the language problem doesn't help.
Sep. 9 - Nathan regains his powers and the firebird makes an appearance.
Sep. 11 - Scott finds out about Terry and Bobby's marriage and doesn't take it well. Crystal gets Lockjaw, a puppy, from Medusa. Bleeding: Haller emails Remy about looking for Marius.
Sep. 12 - Bleeding: Amanda seeks out both Crystal and Kurt to ask them about the missing students. Ororo finds out from Scott about Bobby and Terry.
Sep. 13 - Now Marie finds out that Terry and Bobby are married. Bleeding: Wanda ends up at the club in France, looking for Marius and Jennie, and gets information out of the owner.
Sep. 14 - Forge tells Laurie that she's probably getting a better hold on her powers. Later, Forge gets to test out Amara's powers in a blast shield so she can know the full extent of them.
Sep. 16 - Medusa finds out that pictures were taken when she was at Silver. Bleeding: Remy and Wanda meet back up in France to go over what information they have and Remy passes it onto Storm; meanwhile, Jennie and Marius are with Manuel in Monte Carlo, playing the house for all it's worth.
Sep. 18 - During dinner with Angelo, Nathan gets a phone call about David going missing. Bleeding: Wanda gets a note from Remy because Interpol has gotten involved and he's still wanted by them.
Sep. 19 - Forge and Crystal get into an argument and she accidentally starts a fire with her powers.
Sep. 20 - Bleeding: Over at the Snow Valley offices, Doug and Angie make a breakthrough: they know where Jennie and Marius are and who they are with; Kurt seeks out Ororo so he can go on the mission to get Marius and Jennie.
Sep. 21 - Bleeding: Kurt and Ororo arrive at the hotel room where Jennie, Marius and Manuel have been staying, but they don't expect to find a catatonic girl instead; Storm finds Marius in a bar and tries to convince him to come with her, it doesn't go to plan; Marius ends up teleporting back to Jennie and Manuel and convinces them to leave; back at the bar, Storm finds the patrons going nuts and has to resort to powers to get out; Nightcrawler and Rogue find that Storm isn't the only one under attack before at the club; Rahne and Wanda are on Jennie and Marius' trail but unfortunately Wanda has to deal with the luck backlash; when Jennie stops running, Manuel has to save the day and pays the price; when the rest of the team arrives, Marius isn't far behind and thinks the worst, attacking the X-Men until Nightcrawler has to take him out; later, Marie realizes that Kurt is very affected by what he had to do; Wanda and Rahne get the information about the teenagers' conditions and Ororo and Marie find that they have a new student to take home.
Sep. 22 - Amanda gets the news of what happened from Angelo and Marie-Ange.
Sep. 23 - Professor Xavier and Marius have a talk in the infirmary about what exactly happened; Xavier fixes the problem. In the room over, Jennie wakes up to find Wanda in her room and explanations are given.
Sep. 26 - Marius finally talks to Jennie and realizes that certain bridges can't be rebuilt. During a training session with Wanda, Amanda discovers a neat little spell. Forge hasn't been dealing well with...well, anything and ends up taking it out on Kyle. Terry finds herself performing jazz in the city.
Sep. 28 - X-Men Mission: Alcatraz: Storm finds out that a telekinetic terrorist has taken over Alcatraz with a nuclear weapon; when they get to San Francisco, Cable realizes that they're going to need help and calls in Remy; on the island, Remy and Kurt work together to get Remy inside without the CIA knowing; the team splits to hit the cell block and go after the nuke; things get hairy.
Sep. 29 - Mommy Dearest Redux: Kurt leaves several messages indicating that he will be leaving for a short while.
Sep. 30 - Penance(plot): Penance wakes up in the infirmary and startles Tommy who, in turn, startles her into flight; Logan tracks her down but she gets away again; Paige takes a different approach to bring the frightened girl back inside; Haller talks to her once things have calmed down and later he and the professor make a decision.
