Support the senior trip.” Felicia laughed, bumping into him with a half bared shoulder possibly a little harder than necessary as a collection of sophomores timidly handed her ones. Hair teased within an inch of its life and sprayed pink, face a map of glitter and stars, Felicia was a glam rock queen in metallics and neon, her pointed toe knee high boots keeping her only a couple inches shorter than her companion, but still less of a heel than she'd like. Her smile would glow under the black lights. "Isn't he the most?" she asked, tucking the cash into her belt bag as he began doling out black plastic wrapped bulk buy toys as if they were gold bars. "Truly outrageous." “Outrageous is an aesthetic,” Namor replied, glass-smooth. “Reckless is a flaw. I happen to be neither. But I understand the confusion. Altitude often looks like spectacle to those watching from below.” He scanned the crowd with the casual confidence of a man who believed he could name every threat in the room. “They did elect me, after all. One assumes for the gravitas. It appears I’ve confused spycraft with discernment. Try to keep up.” "Oh, King," Felicia replied, saccharine but only mostly unkindly. "They elected Rex McKenzie. And possibly as a pretty figurehead, given Guthrie is second in command." "Tubular!" she said, shifting with a pretty smile at a junior, taking their ticket and a fist of ones before gesturing them towards Namor. "It's an 80s party. A human era full of neon, and this is lingo. Which you'd know if you'd bothered to read anything we spies sent you. Try to keep up, or at least your head down for those of us who aren't just cheekbones." Namor handed off another bracelet with a motion that could have been mistaken for benevolence — if it weren’t so imperious. “Ah. Tubular. A word with too many limbs and no spine.” He regarded her attire, faintly amused. “You’ve embraced the era’s glitter with devotional fervor. I presumed camouflage. Operative strategy. Reflected light.” Then he looked at her — not briefly, not politely. As one might observe a star and count its gravity. “But no,” he said softly. “Not disguise. Bait.” He tilted his head just slightly. Not indulgent. Not fond. Something quieter. “This crown they placed on my double — ‘king of the court,’ such endearing theater — is camouflage enough. Tailored, bestowed, and as performative as your shine.” His gaze dipped — slow, intentional — not to objectify but to study the radius she carved into space. “Tell me,” he asked, voice lower now, almost intimate, “do we wear these roles because they fit... or because it’s easier to hunt when no one’s watching for claws?” "I can only answer that for myself," Felicia said, watching a stream of teens crack their glowsticks and head inside the gym. Gabriel and Angel enjoy some time on the water. Sharon F.emails Warren about training X-Factor in advanced first aid. She also asks Garrison and Scott for a training-related Danger Room scenario. Matt posts about his music taste. 2017: Following the Dark Dimension incident, Jean talks to Amanda about Quentin and Amanda preventing her from sacrificing herself. Hellfire and Damnation: Remy and Pete meet unexpectedly in Hong Kong and do their best to almost kill each other. Clarice asks to become a trainee. 2006: The Gates: The Amaquelin sisters discuss Prague and decide to do what they can. Yvette emails Logan an apology. Making dinner with Angelo, Yvette has a brief memory return; Angelo contacts Haller in concern. Lorna leaves a voicemail for Remy, suggesting they meet and telling him about her meeting with Amanda. 2007: Amanda announces the return of the bus run. Nathan, acting as Kevin's lawyer, goes to see him. Carmen Animi Vermium: Monet complains of an ongoing headache. Yvette wonders where Kevin has gone. 2008: Jubilee learns the basics of computer hacking from Doug. Scott asks if anyone has heard from Tabitha before she left so abruptly. 2009: Logan does an open call on the team journals, looking for one-on-one, non lethal combat. Bobby visits Angelo in his suite and it's explained how Ronnie got to Ireland posed as Bobby. Garrison picks Adrienne up from her work and he takes her on a second date, on horseback and clad in the Royal Canadian Mounted police uniform. Despite her fear of horses, the pair ride through Central Park, talking about why Garrison chose to be a Mountie, sex and baseball, stopping to enjoying a well packed meal. Catseye asks Bobby to make ice cream and they catch up on Terry, being an X-Man and the fact that Catseye is dating Nick now. 2010: Jubilee announces she is going to the movies, should anyone want to join her. 2011: Jean and Angelo use a Danger Room hologrammic snake to help Adrienne face her fears; Angelo posts about the dancing snake being Jean's fault and Adrienne panics about the video being sold to the highest bidder before Angelo reassures her he won't. Abigail Brand visits Garrison's desk to let him know - obliquely - she's aware of him using FBI resources for 'personal' matters. Matt and Kyle go jogging together and discuss various issues they are having. 2012: Marie-Anges posts that Wade’s phone plays mariachi music at 4:00 a.m. and asks if he knows where his tacos are. X-Corps: Breaking the World: Sooraya and Angelo chat a little on their flight to the Congo; X-Corps sits down and discuss their findings at the end of their first full day. 2013: Adrienne makes a journal entry about the Red Sox advancing to the ALCS. Several people engage with others on Twitter over a YouTube video of a mutant using her powers in a cafe. Matt makes a journal entry about not doing his work and instead adding apps onto his phone, including Twitter after all the YouTube video commentary. 2014: Namor tries his hand at emoticons, he doesn’t like it much. Higher Than Hope: Marie-Ange emails Wade asking if he’s free to come to try and rescue Hope and Laurie; Wade later replies by text asking if he gets to blow things up and agrees to wear a bodyguard type suit; Hope and CJ prepare for the first mission that the Archduke gives Hope.
