Plot Summary
Following their capture and "interview" with Thomas Moreau, those Xavierites chosen to be sent to the power plant in Prenova and put through the mutate process were loaded onto the "mutant train", as it was known. An escape plan had already been formulated - while the rest of the group distracted the guards with insults and verbal resistance, Jubilee and Ororo began working on their restraints. But before they could enact their plan to attack the guards, the train was derailed by a sudden explosion.
Freed from their restraints, the group evacuated the train, only to discover their "attackers" were in fact the Genoshan Resistance, led by Jenny Ransome, the girl whose defection (along with her boyfriend and son of the Genoshan President, Phillip Moreau), had been the cause of everything that had happened to them. The group joined with Jenny, who returned their powers, and came up with a plan to attack the Prenova power plant and destroy it - much to Jenny's reluctance.
The next day, Ororo's team - Vance, North, Layla and Adrienne - began the attack on Prenova. Kurt's team - Kyle, Angelica, Cammie and Jubilee - fought their way to the geothermal plant and set free the mutants they found there. Things became complicated when Magistrate Braddock and Mutate 606 - Amara - attacked Ororo's team and were nearly too much for them. Kurt's team was able to evacuate the imprisoned mutants before bringing down the power plant and causing the Magistrates to fall back, but the victory came at a high price to Jenny, when a group of workers confronted her about the destruction of the power plant, calling her a traitor to Genosha.
