The speaker had appeared behind him in the hall with horror-movie soundlessness. A purple-haired young woman around Hank's age and height was staring not at his feet, but his right arm. Her gaze glided back to his face. To look into her slit-pupiled eyes was to understand the plight of a microbe on the wrong end of a microscope. As Sharon listed his anatomy, Hank couldn't help but follow along with raising his hand. His fingers spread out in front of his face while he looked at them in wonder. Were they that obvious? Perhaps he should invest in gloves. With a heavy sigh, he dropped his hand and his head followed. "You are correct; however, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that none of us in this home are 'standard' human. I prefer the term x-gene positive versus non-standard, although I appreciate it is a preferential thing." He pointedly did not say anything about her eyes, although he did feel trapped and scrutinized in a way that made him wildly uncomfortable. The girl slinked closer. "I would not presume to verbally dissect you on a genetic and cellular level upon our first meeting. I would need proper testing materials to make a truly informed decision on your abilities and skeletal features. I appreciate this is a skill of yours; however, I must note my own limitations. Although I am incredibly intelligent, I prefer a true scientific method for hypothesizing." He neither confirmed nor denied any of her speculations. It was obvious Sharon was intelligent, and he didn't wish to make her feel bad for her observations. He did make a mental note to look at the mirror when he got back to his room. Felicia visits North and discovers the extent of the changes forced on him. 2016: 2017: Green-Eyed Monster: Sue traces back the first two cases of sickness in the mysterious mutant ‘plague’ case; Arthur provides further details on the pair, both of whom had been in Chinatown days before falling ill. Flight of the Valkyrie: Garrison is surprised when the mansion receives a visit from Valkyrie - the former Paige Guthrie; Valkyrie explains that she needs the help of those who had previously been to Asgard, plus Illyana and Garrison, in order to save a group of fallen Valkyrie, the Disir, who have been unleashed on Thor by Loki; the group manages to stop the Disir from reaching Thor in Central Park, where they are bound to Garrison in order to take them back to Hel; on the road to Hel, Molly and Jubilee fight a rock giant; Marie-Ange, Doug and Angelo battle the wolf pack of Garm; Amanda, Ty, Tandy and Illyana fight their way through the Duergar, ghoul-like soldiers; Valkyrie defeats the final guard, Morgud, while Garrison is tormented by the crazy old lady Disir in his head; the Disir make a deal with Hela and Hela provides Illyana with the power to use the Soulsword to set them free of Garrison; Valkyrie returns to Valhalla with the Disir that have been freed, while four remain as Hel’s servants. The Winding Way: Amanda goes to the mansion to renew the protection wards and meets Farouk, who is not impressed by the local witch. Angelo meets with Wanda and tells her about Nate's seeing Tara Trask. 2008: Xbalanque: Nash and Julio speak to the local magistrate, who tries to convince them Dr. Mendez was killed by local terrorists and advises them to leave; that night, the creature returns to the Mission and during the confusion, Julio is attacked and bitten. Jean visits Nathan and is told about a repressed memory that surfaced about Gideon Faraday and Tara Trask several years before. Angel emails Scott for training with her new fire form. 2009: Amanda posts about her return from Nova Roma and her curiosity about the origins of the city's inhabitants. Manuel announces he has been asked to teach by Charles (Spanish, fencing and dance); Manuel posts to x_staff. Jay scares the life out of Nathan with a less-than-graceful landing on the dock. Cammie drops by to see Jean-Paul after returning from Nova Roma and finds out about what happened with Jake and is less than impressed; Cammie visits Manuel, nearly winds up babysitting and convinces him to stay home from a Hellfire Club meeting instead; Cammie goes to the brownstone in the wee small hours and lets herself into Jake's apartment with his key before breaking his nose; upset by the strength of her anger at Jake, Cammie returns to the mansion and winds up on Manuel's couch for comfort. 2010: Vanessa asks Jean to come out and help her find a new male body after disposing of Daniel for Jean-Paul's sake. 2011: Operation: Dasavatharam: During a normal Monday morning meeting, an unexpected article brings the past back to life for Wanda - the Exemplars are back in town. Sarah V. is enthusiastic about a new book, Ready Player One. 2012: Tandy texts Sue wishing her a happy birthday. Rachel teaches Matt not to leave his sandwiches unattended. Maddie mass emails Susan, Hope, Tandy, Layla and Renee about a birthday party tonight in honor of Sue. Kurt teaches Matt the flying trapeze. A Kind of Magic: Ororo apologizes for her lack of focus on the weather and believes that the recent thunderstorms are not normal. 2013: Tandy texts Sue to advise she’s kidnapping her. 2014: Fred wakes up for the first time and he and Yvette comfort each other.
