Biography
Dominic Petros, also known as Avalanche, has the power to control the earth. Like his compatriots Mad Dog and The Corruptor, he decided to use those powers for crime.
Avalanche first came to official notice back in January 2005, when he was part of a gang of mutant bank-robbers along with The Corruptor and Mad Dog. They were apprehended by the X-Men and spent the next four years in Hazelton Penetentiary. In November 2009 during the country's biggest ever mass escape, all of the gang escaped but split up. Avalanche tagged along with the Young Preservers, using them as cannon fodder when intercepted by the X-Men. As Rogue was distracted by Rust, Avalanche took the opportunity to disappear.
He resurfaced in NOvember 2011, when his bank robbing habits again drew attention to himself. This time, however, he was using young mutants as patsies to take the fall, something which was brought to the attention of Doug Ramsey by one of his hacking contacts. Investigating the matter, Doug, Marie-Ange Colbert, Jubilation Lee and Wade Wilson caught Avalanche in the middle of another heist, this time using young telekinetic, Madelyne Pryor. Avalanche was captured and delivered (anonymously) to the NYPD, before being transferred to The Vault to await trial for escaping legal custody and bank robbery.
