Biography
Founder, president, and CEO of OsCorp, a multinational pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and bioengineering company. Osborn is a classic American success story: brilliant and industrious, he rose out of poverty to almost single-handedly create one of the most successful businesses in the country. He’s also a greedy and power-hungry son of a bitch. As he developed close ties with the US government, he bid for bioweapons contracts but presented them to the public as revolutionary medical advances. One such contract was to recreate and improve upon the lost Super Soldier Serum that had transformed meek little Steve Rogers into Captain America back in the early 1940s. He’s been working on this project for over 20 years and has accidentally succeeded twice: the genetically engineered spiders that transformed Peter Parker and Miles Morales into the Spider-Men were in fact experimental vectors for the serum. Osborn has not been able to recreate these vectors since and is now quasi-obsessed with apprehending and experimenting on the Spider-Men to recreate the serum.
He has also incurred the wrath of Doctor Octopus, who has brought William Stryker and Bolivar Trask into his vendetta against Osborn with the reasoning OsCorp has the resources needed to complete the latter's goals of a world free of mutants. In May 2016, Doctor Octopus brought the vendetta to Osborn, sending Vulture, Beetle and Rhino, three associates in mecha-suits, to kill Osborn in the streets of NYC. That attempt was stymied by members of Generation X, and another attempt at an art gallery was prevented by the X-Men.
