September started with a blaze - Match willingly used his powers to start a fire for the first time. Xavier's held a party over Labor Day weekend, that had great attendance. During the party, Jean Grey and Garrison Kane began to get closer, the younger members of the mansion started to become friends, Artie Maddicks scared the daylights out of Sharon Smith, and Arthur Centino's psychometry accidentally revealed the existence of Shatterstar's system to him. Theresa Cassidy more or less declared Shatterstar a member of her family when she gifted him a family heirloom sword for his 18th birthday. Jean and Garrison's budding relationship continued to grow, especially when they spent the night together after car trouble during a mission left them stranded. Liam Nelson and Shatterstar started school at the mansion under their new teacher Kyle Gibney. Arthur tricked Jessica Jones into helping him chaperone a trip into District X for Generation X.

Warren Worthington returned to X-Factor Investigations. As it happens, XFI investigated a missing persons case which led them to a mutant group that may or may not have been a cult but either way was of interest to Quentin Quire. In Seattle there was a large explosion that was caused by a mutant, but this was, of course, likely unrelated. Madin was revealed to formerly have been a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants and put in the Box while senior staff discussed the new information and what to do going forward.

Timeline

Sep 1 - Inez goes to visit Darcy, expecting that maybe Terry might be there - she is - but not expecting to meet Sharon. Darcy makes a general PSA on her journal about Sharon’s food and how to properly label same.

Sep 2 - Match meets with Kyle and, in the ensuing power training session, willing ignites for the first time.

Sep 3 - Clint texts Sam to ask him to come to the Labor Day celebrations at the mansion. Matt makes a journal entry about his new braille Lego set from Darcy. Jessica finds her old journal entries and is appalled.

Sep 4 - Jubilee laughs on the journals at Jessica’s drama. Labour Day Party: Megan makes a journal post announcing she will be spray-painting t-shirts at the Labor Day party. Darcy and Kevin catch up poolside and enjoy drinks. Jean and Garrison talk at the “boring grill”. Sam swings by the mansion to celebrate Labor Day and Clint keeps him company. April feeds the wolf and teases Garrison about being a grill dad. Sharon tries to steal Jean’s chicken, but they end up bonding. Haller and Molly dent some things while playing super-powered horseshoes. Sharon and Liam discuss their mutual nemesis, Namor. Artie and Shatterstar meet each other. Arthur, Haller, and Shatterstar throw knives, revealing the existence of Benji to Arthur and the existence of Davey’s knife throwing lessons to Haller. Rictor, Shatterstar, Liam, and Match play chicken in the pool. Liam stops Sharon from scamming Sam out of his food. Terry is a mother hen to Shatterstar. Sharon asks Artie invasive questions and gets sparkles in her eyes for her trouble. Sharon proceeds to seek comfort from Darcy and Alani. Warren bothers Haller about wedding choices until he gets a work call and summons Illyana, leading to Illyana using Haller to help her pack. Clint enjoys Illyana and Boris’s presence until Illyana is called away for work. Doug makes an appearance to get food with Darcy. April is knocked into the pool by a wrestling pair of cat mutants and winds up talking with Scott. Jean texts Arthur to apologize for a misunderstanding that came off as rude on the journals. Jessica and Match run into each other while stocking up on free food. Nica and Scott have a poolside chat about condiments and formality. Artie and Matt commiserate about having enhanced tastebuds. Namor and Emma flirt over poolside snacks. Marie-Ange drags Amanda away from the Transian books to take a break and they are amused by Sharon's reaction to one of MA's imps.

Sep 5 - Terry texts Rictor to tell him Shatterstar’s birthday this weekend. Illyana makes a journal post saying she’s enjoying being in LA even if she’s working on her birthday. Arthur asks Hope A. for help troubleshooting his psychometry. Liam experiences what first day of school is like at Xavier's with Kyle.

Sep 6 - Rictor makes a journal post asking if he can borrow a car and if he can drive in New York with a Mexican license.

Sep 7 - Liam makes a journal post wondering about local high school football.

Sep 8 - Alani updates the eXcalibur team that the wormhole has made a connection. Jean and Garrison get hot dogs in Central Park.

Sep 9 - Terry gifts Shatterstar a sword belonging to an ancestor of hers for his 18th birthday. Shatterstar thanks her and even sort of hugs her. Arthur and Quentin look for leads on a case at Kirby’s and meet Sam, who is happy to help. Sam texts Clint about the new Tyler Childers album. Garrison posts to X-Teams that he and Jean will be out of town for a few days on an Underground matter. Rictor and Shatterstar watch a Simon Williams movie Rictor gave 'Star as a gift and discuss conspiracy theories.

Sep 10 - Alison asks for someone to explain the plot of Cats to her on the journals. Terry texts Jean asking how things with Garrison are. Jean and Garrison have car trouble on the way back from a Mutant Underground situation and spend the night in a strange small town.

Sep 12 - Warren announces his return from LA and shares his experience in eating natto; Terry emails Kyle to let him know she has a new least favourite word, thanks to Warren. Shatterstar emails Kyle to ask about schooling options. Sooraya and April train in the Danger Room and share ideas for powers applications.

Sep 13 - Coming across Match and his odd eating habits, Sooraya offers some help.

Sep 15 - Julio announces he has the new Mortal Kombat game.

Sep 16 - Alani announces a belated egg-themed celebration of Agatha Christie’s birthday, with her chicken namesake as Guest of Honour. Shatterstar and Match chat and then show off their powers to each other. Sharon encounters Arthur doing yoga and has questions.

Sep 17 - Angelo is accosted by a curious cat-person while bringing in groceries and winds up as a cat toy in the name of powers experimentation; Jean-Phillipe is graciously allowed to watch by Her Purple Felineness.

Sep 18 - Gabe explains the inability to contact him as a phone accident while celebrating his birthday.

Sep 19 - Match texts Rictor to ask if he plays the video game Valorant.

Sep 20 - Terry requests some spare muscle for an upcoming supply run. Liam goes to Sharon to share an amazing idea he's had about a 'human' sized cat tree.

Sep 21 - Terry texts Kyle to plan Halloween costumes. Following his idea, Sharon takes Liam to meet with Megan to get sized for safety clothing.

Sep 22 - Doug and Marie-Ange spar in the Danger Room, and are joined by Shatterstar, who starts out observing but then joins in. A Haven to Call Home: News breaks of an explosion in a Seattle warehouse.

Sep 23 - DX Fieldtrip: Arthur approaches Jessica for her New York City expertise. This leads to her being in a van with him, Liam, Match, Rictor, Sharon, and Shatterstar to bring the young adults to District X. Having found an appropriately stocked bodega, Rictor comes across Sharon feeding her former colony. An attempt to seek out Snow Valley's office has Sharon facing Artie and she makes the choice to leave abruptly instead. Jessica decides to make a request of X-Factor Investigation's resources, which Quentin graciously allows. At a deli, Shatterstar assists Sharon in ordering a meal. Match and Sharon go dumpster diving much to Jessica's annoyance before she makes the younger mutants stop. Cleaned and at the Community Centre, Sharon regales Sooraya with her day. After Jessica gets clean, she chats with Sooraya, though they're interrupted by the appearance of Match and Sharon. Match meets with Angelo to get information on credentials and informs the man of another Espinosa working with mutants in LA. Jessica tracks Sharon down and reveals they have some similarities in their pasts. Returning to the mansion, Jessica's state of dress is documented by Haller before Warren happens across the pair. Terry drops off a meal with Garrison and his wolf and asks some important questions. Bobbi meets with Hope A. and Sue to prepare her for the life that's to come for her when she marries Warren. A Haven to Call Home: A news update on the Seattle explosion reveals the cause, a mutant; Clint posts to the teams asking if anyone has anymore information than has been released.

Sep 24 - Darcy shares the 'Pink Push Up Bra' music video on the journals.

Sep 25 - Warren drops by to Quentin's office for a chat about returning to XFI. A Haven To Call Home - Quentin updates the team on what's been happening behind the scenes. Warren texts Darcy for an ego boost.

Sep 26 - Sooraya and Sharon talk after the spray bottle incident. Kyle demands a full-on investigation for his missing ice cream. Darcy gets drinks and food with Sam and Jubilee after a day of delayed flights.

Sep 27 - Sam and Alani talk, and new opportunities arise.

Sep 29 - Clean Slate - Madin gets a text about people asking around for them; Madin makes an escape plan; Kevin emails Garrison about Madin. A Haven To Call Home - Quentin updates everyone on the missing husband and announces they're going to Oregon; XFI finds a mutant definitely-not-a-cult, and Quentin is drawn in; they get info on the missing spouse and leave, case solved.

Sep 30 - Clean Slate - Garrison announces a senior staff meeting regarding Madin; Quentin visits Madin in their "cell" - The Box; the senior staff meet to talk about the Madin problem; Kevin takes matters into his own hands; Garrison later has a chat with Madin as well.
