About
Karen "Frito" Lawrence is currently an active player of X-Project. She began playing Marie-Ange Colbert in May of 2003, and Kyle Gibney in October of 2004. She currently acts as one of the admins for the Xproject wiki, and has been a mod of the game twice previously, retiring from her most recent tenure as a mod in April 2017. She also hosts and maintains the webpage and is generally responsible for dealing with the technical end of any of the webpage-y things for the game.

A former resident of Baltimore and the Washington DC Area, she now lives in Escondido, CA (a bit north of San Diego) - she hates snow and shoes, and loves seafood, tea and math. She lives with Twiller and their son "Typechip", born in February 2014, and has a truly astounding number of stuffed animals for someone who is in her forties.
She also claims to be 1/4 allosaurus.

2016: 2017: Quentin tests Warren to let him know he’s coming back to work; Warren immediately e-mails the rest of XFI to gather them up on the roof to hold a get together for the event; when Quentin arrives at work he finds himself an observer at his own wake. Kurt tells Amanda about his breakup with Jubilee. 2018: Reed and Sue take a rare opportunity to sleep in together. Garrison emails Emma and Tandy to let them know Adrienne is conscious again and that the dampening suit seems to be working. Morningstar: Maya asks for theoretical advice on caring for the X-Factor hamsters, as she’s been assigned the job. Jubilee posts a YouTube link to the “10 Paradoxes That Will Blow Your Mind”. 2019: 2020: Artie and Marie-Ange discuss passing privilege, the mystery of genetics, and the future. 2021: Topaz sends texts to America and Clea about Baltimore and the argument with Amanda. 2004: Day In The City: Scott and Alex are ambushed and Scott goes missing. X-Men Mission: Wildchild: Nathan has an IM conversation with Colin MacInnis and discovers the location of a Mistra conditioning facility in Vermont; plans are made to rescue the children involved. Doug tells Marie-Ange about his punishment training and she confesses she was considering joining the X-Men after Asgard; Marie-Ange discovers Jamie is considering the same thing; Marie-Ange emails Scott about becoming a trainee. Haroun and Alison go out on a date and Lorna cuts their comms to ensure it isn't interrupted; Alison and Haroun's relationship begins. Shiro arranges Krav Maga lessons with Haroun. Dr. Stephen Strange arranges a final meeting with Illyana to talk about Limbo. 2005: X-Men Mission: Who's The Thief: The X-Men go to Israel and work with Sabra to take down the terrorists and rescue the hostages. Forge and Marius experiment with Marius' powers and manage to reboot Forge's own; Catseye exacts retribution for them causing Moira panic. Lost Generations: Nathan's investigations of Asian mutant birthrates uncover something odd. Haroun has a bad mobility day and Alison tells him about her father's death. 2006: Operation: Flesh Mechanic: Wanda and Amanda admit defeat and conclude the phenomenon isn't magical; the group re-meets and shares findings, with everything pointing to the weapons program; X-Force faces down the living computer, now calling itself Mastermold, and are nearly defeated before Mark gets a brainwave and destroys its power source. Scott goes out for the afternoon and comes back with a new sports car. Ororo meets Marius' mother; Forge meets Marius' father and outlines a plan to save Marius' life. The Gates: Medusa convinces Nathan to let her go to Smochov with Elpis. X-Men Mission: Hotel Saragarhi: Arriving in Pakistan, the X-Men meet Major John Greycrow, their liason in the matter, who gives them further details; Lex discovers their helicopter pilot is one he knows from his military service and receives disquieting hints of what happened to his unit; the group successfully reaches India; Meltdown and Hamster take out the power to the hotel; Blink and Wasp rescue the politician; Wildchild and Dominion distract the hijackers; as the group is making their escape, the Imperial Guard arrives, but Dominion is able to reason with them and a deadly battle is narrowly avoided. Doug joins Remy on a job in Russia which goes badly, forcing Doug to abandon their contact to be killed. Jean-Phillipe forgets he has a suite mate and Laurie sees his scars, which results in a discussion on Magneto. Amara applies for the job of Adrienne's assistant and gets it. Nico and Dori talk about why Nico left Beverly Hills. Adrienne fits Manuel's costume and they talk about what to expect at the Hellfire Club Halloween party. 2010: Jubilee aks for partners to do some parkour in New York in lieu of a workout given the state of the gym, plus demands new socks. Dori seeks out Hank to ask about becoming a trainee. Cammie goes out to distract herself from her birthday and winds up being kidnapped for the reward on her head; Remy frees her, explaining he used her as bait to find out who the people looking for her might be and where they're lurking. Dori tracks down Kyle and ambushes him to tell him her news about joining the team. 2011: Sam emails Adrienne, checking in to see how she is and offering her some company. Meggan finds some old keys for Sarah V's costume. Matt posts about the anniversary of Day Zero. Sarah posts a thank you to Meggan. Clarice re-appears on the journals, having completed her undergraduate degree and at Pace University as a graduate student. 2012: Wade emails Marie-Ange to suggest movies instead of costumes for Halloween, considering the previous year’s incident. Laurie reflects on the x_grads comm about the joys of sugar and the pilot episode of Mockingbird Lane. 2013: 2014: Gabriel says that the mansion is eerie at 3 or 4 am. Tandy goes to Adrienne about the possibility of purchasing a castle. |
